100 Club Rules

Purpose:

The purpose of the 100 Club is to raise essential funds for the Pre-school. The money will be paid into the pre-school bank account and used to meet funding requirements for equipment and resources, as well as running costs.

Rules:

  1. For a cost of £18 per year, one ticket will be allocated with a number of between one and 100.

  2. A draw will take place on the third Friday of every month with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.

  3. The annual prize total will be 47.77%* (£860) of the annual income.

  4. This will be apportioned as: Total prize money of the 11 equal monthly draws: 1st prize of 18.33%* (£330), 2nd prize of 12.22%* (£220) and 3rd prize of 6.11%* (£110).  The final draw prizes for August will be higher with a 1st prize of 5.55%* (£100), 2nd prize of 3.33%* (£60) and 3rd prize of 2.22%* (£40) of the annual income.  [*rounded to the nearest £.]

  5. The 100 Club is a small society lottery and anyone aged 16 or over can join.

  6. Tickets are purchased annually prior to the first draw taking place in September.

  7. Existing and new members’ numbers will only be entered in the draw if their annual subscription is paid.

  8. If a member informs that they no longer wish to be in the draw, their number will be sold to someone on the reserve list at a pro rata cost of the annual ticket in relation to the remaining monthly draws and will be included in the said remaining draws.

  9. On the third Friday of every month, two witnesses will confirm there are 100 numbers in the draw.  Three random numbers will be selected via an online random number generator for the relevant 1st, 2nd and 3rd monthly prizes.  The witnesses will sign the Monthly Draw Result and Declaration.

  10. Winning cheques will be issued to the winning members within one week of the draw.

  11. The name and numbers of the month’s winners will be recorded on the List of Monthly Draw Results sheet and the number and winners’ initials will be posted on the pre-school’s website and social media page.

  12. If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into pre-school funds after six months.  If a winner does not present their cheque into their bank account within six months of the date of the cheque, the winnings will be considered as a donation to pre-school and placed into pre-school funds.

  13. All tickets are renewed annually and on sale from early June for the new draw year. If a member wishes to retain their 100 Club membership number for a subsequent year, they are required to pay the annual ticket fee before the end of August; otherwise their number could be sold to a new member.

  14. Unless otherwise advised, a member will be deemed to have left the 100 Club if his/her annual subscription renewal is not paid for by the end of August.

  15. The 100 club Lottery will be run by the fundraising committee.  In case of any dispute the decision of the committee is final.

At Little Thetford Acorns, sessional fees only cover day-to-day running costs.

That means we need the Fundraising Team to raise the extra money we need throughout the year to pay for things like:

  • Replacing toys and games

  • Arts and crafts resources

  • Garden equipment

As a not-for-profit charity, all money raised goes straight back into the setting to be used for things that will be enjoyed by all the children.

How you can help:

  1. Join the Fundraising Team – we always need new members and love new ideas so contact us via email or our Facebook page if you want to get involved!

  2. Support our events – come along to our events, enter those colouring competitions, buy those Christmas cards/puddings/tea towels/craft packs/raffle tickets or donate your time – every little bit helps!
